چکیده

Background: Ventricular septal defect (VSD) and Atrial (ASD) are the most common congenital heart disease (CHD). This study aimed to improve of health status, quality life, morbidity mortality pediatrics patient with ASDs. Methods: was a cohort carried out at Pediatric Cardiology Unit Zagazig University hospitals during period from October 2019 2020 Included 30 children up 2 years age were following for ASD or VSD. The patients classified into groups: Group I; comprised 20 ASD. II; 10 VSD monitored 12 months serial 2-dimensional echocardiography. Results: There statistically significant higher total phospholipid among spontaneous closure than regression ≤ 3 mm residual >3 no difference regarding L. Carnitine. Carnitine phospholipid, diagnosis, size, phospholipids L-Carnitine predictor factors studied group, Conclusion: Age group.

Transthoracic closure of atrial septal defect and ventricular septal defect without cardiopulmonary bypass.

The minimally invasive surgical transthoracic occlusion of an atrial septal defect (ASD) or a ventricular septal defect (VSD) is an increasingly widespread alternative treatment for congenital heart disease. The aim of this study is to summarize our clinical experience with minimally invasive surgical transthoracic occlusion of ASD and VSD without cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB). Between April 201...

A review of spontaneous closure of ventricular septal defect.

Ventricular septal defect (VSD) is the most common congenital heart malformation and can be detected during the prenatal and postnatal period, in childhood, and in adulthood. Spontaneous closure of VSD can be determined through a variety of methods-echocardiography, Doppler color flow imaging, angiography, auscultation, and cardiac catheterization-and can be proven by pathological evidence at n...

Transcatheter closure of atrial septal defect preserves right ventricular function.

OBJECTIVES To determine the effects of atrial septal defects (ASD) and their closure on systolic and diastolic right and left ventricular function; and by comparing surgical closure with transcatheter device closure, to establish differences attributable to cardiopulmonary bypass. DESIGN Cross sectionally guided M mode echocardiographic ventricular long axis function was measured prospectivel...

Atrial septal defect in children.

This paper has a two-fold purpose: first, to present the signs and symptoms of atrial septal defect and thus outline the findings that help in making the clinical diagnosis, and secondly, to show that correct and early diagnosis is important, because this anomaly gives rise to serious, although frequently obscured, symptoms and disabilities more often than has been generally realized. Clinicall...
